In order to have the following mixes meet the standards for either the Red
Deer Public School District or the Province of Alberta nutritional guidelines
for Children and Youth, the following ingredients should be used when preparing
the recipes.
- Oatmeal Raisin Cookie Mix - use light stick margarine
- Ginger Crinkle Cookie Mix - use 100% pure vegetable oil
- Cranberry Chip Cookie Mix - use light stick margarine
- Cocoa Chip Cookie Mix - use enriched soy milk, light stick margarine
- Old Fashioned Oatmeal Raisin Cookie Mix - use light stick margarine
- Raisin 'n Bran Muffin Mix - use enriched soy milk, light stick margarine
- Spicy Raisin Muffin Mix - use enriched soy milk, light stick margarine
- Homesteader's Pancake Mix - use enriched soy milk, 100% pure vegetable oil
- Beefy Macaroni Soup Mix - use stewed tomato with no added salt, pan fried
well done lean ground beef
- Minestrone Soup Mix - no special requirements
- Noodle Soup Mix - use roasted chicken breast meat
- Prairie Pea Soup Mix - use cooked turkey bacon
- Western Chili Mix - use tomato sauce with no added salt, pan fried well
done lean ground beef
